Certifying a site is as simple as providing the 4 habitat components: food, water, cover, and places to raise young, and practicing sustainable gardening techniques.
Any site can be recognized as a certified wildlife habitat regardless of size.
Whether it’s your backyard, a community garden, a schoolyard, a rooftop garden, or a business site, Weaverville Wildlife Habitat wants to recognize all efforts to restore habitat for wildlife.
To find out what is required to certify your property as a Wildlife Habitat, please contact the Weaverville Habitat Team. You can also go to the National Wildlife Federation website and click on Outside in Nature/Gardening for Wildlife.
